Our client is a Canadian-based translation company,  they have engaged our services in finding a Translator/ Reviser.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position you will be responsible for providing accurate translations (English to  French Material will include promotional material, product information, merchandising, corporate communications, sales presentations, training materials, etc.

Translate a variety of texts (2500- 3000 words per day) for various industries

Revising and editing translations completed by internal/ external translators, ensuring consistency in style and terminology

Manage priorities and deadlines

Contribute to coaching translators in a less senior role

Creating, maintaining and developing client specific term bases, glossaries and translation memories

Working closely with Sr. Project Manager and other team members to ensure quality and timely delivery of translations to client

REQUIREMENTS

BA or Master in Translation

3 to 5 years experience as a translator/ proofreader

Fluent in English and French with French as the native language

Excellent communication skills

Proofreading experience, attention to detail and focus on quality

Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment

Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently under minimum supervision

Proactive, results and performance driven, ability to take initiative

Fast learner, willing to learn new translation tools

Experience with translation software, preferably MemoQ

MS office suite

Desktop publishing tools an asset ( InDesing, QuarkXpress)

Fluency in another language an asset

SALARY : $47K to $53K ( base on experience)
