Title:                      Steamfitter             

Hours of Work:     8 hour day shifts Monday - Friday (May require to work 12 hour shift)

Reports to:           Maintenance Coordinator

Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintain lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for oil, steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, and industrial production and processing systems.

Work with the Operating & Maintenance teams;

Requirements:

Licensed Steam fitter (Gas fitter license optional);

Experience in the following areas is considered an asset:

Rigging;

Paper Mill;

Hydraulic (hoses and fittings);

Condensate line repairs;

Tig and Stick, Stainless steel & aluminum welding;

Steam joint (will train);

Pump rebuilds;

Fabrication;

Lockouts, tracing for break in work;

Hose crimping;

Control valve knowledge;

Tube bending;

Instrumentation (control valves);

Strong mechanical aptitude and skills;

Experience with pipes and piping systems are assets;

Selection Criteria:

Meet duties, responsibilities and requirements outlined above;

Proven track record of working safely at all times;

Strong commitment to ongoing learning and development;

Highly developed communications skills (verbal and written);

Strong proficiency or willingness to work with computers (i.e.:  MS Office);

Effective interpersonal skills, especially between work teams;

Full understanding and compliance of the Site Safe Practices;
