In this role, the duties may include but are not limited to:
.Provide highest level of quality, service and cleanliness by setting an example as team lead.
.Perform and complete duties assigned by Food and Beverage Supervisors.
.Ensure and maintain the cleaning of work areas, including condiment tables.
.Assign duties to all personnel within the work area and ensure that they are completed.
.Provide direction in the production and cooking of food to meet established guidelines and to ensure quality.
.Maintain clean work areas at all times; coordinate cleaning schedules within work areas,
.Rectify all customer complaints at the work area, within your scope, and direct all others to a Concessions Supervisor or the appropriate department.
.Train and assist new personnel, report progress to Supervisor.
.Assign breaks within the work area, according to business requirements,
.Picking up, counting and verifying floats for work area,
.Setting up and putting away supplies on counters and display areas,
.Review pertinent information and instructions from Supervisors and information boards,
.Set up service areas, including condiment tables and check equipment ensuring areas are cleaned and sanitized and correct any deviations to WEG standards.
.Check that all equipment is turned on and functioning properly; report any equipment problems to Supervisor.
.Check to see that adequate supplies are available for use during the shift and report any deficiencies to Supervisor.
.Count and verify all opening inventories, complete concessions inventory sheet.
.Preparing hot and cold beverages and food based on WEG standards to meet service requirements.
.Cleaning food area as required.
Basic job requirements include:
.One to two years experience in a supervisory capacity
.Thorough understanding of the methods and machinery, techniques and practices involved with the preparation and service of concession food and the sanitation of the work area
.Working knowledge of a cash register and tendering procedures
.Proven accuracy in performing basic mathematical calculations
.Proven customer service experience
.Prior experience handling cash
.Awareness of Health and Safety issues
.Proven communication and interpersonal skills
.Excellent command of English and grammar, both oral and written
.Proven ability to work in a team environment
This is an hourly position based out of Woodbine Gaming Racetrack. The hours of work will vary and will include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
