Senior Systems Analyst
This key role within our Production Services Department is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic systems analyst to provide project leadership and technical guidance to project team members.
As a Senior Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for providing team leadership to staff based on key metrics for internal and external functions for the Department, as well as working with other teams to develop and improve standards, practices and overall productivity of operations within the facility.
This position will involve emergency on-call and some weekend work to support IT initiatives as well as carrying out other duties, as assigned.
Based in Toronto, ON, you will also be expected to:
Coordinate with the Production Services Manager to ensure adequate staffing and shift coverage, and ensure that the team is following governance and established LCBO processes and procedures.
Develop procedures for the power and cooling infrastructure in the Central Computing Facility (CCF Corporate Data Centre.
Ensure that all Health and Safety guidelines are enforced by both internal and external visitors to the Data Centre.
Keep up-to-date diagrams for the physical layout, and electrical and mechanical schematics.
Provide administrative support for Enterprise Management Reporting tools.
Your qualifications for the role of Senior Systems Analyst will be reflected in the following profile:
Experience as a team and project leader, an asset.
Analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently with little supervision as well as in a team environment, under the pressure of tight deadlines, while demonstrating customer service skills.
A good understanding of collective agreements and processes, an asset.
Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems and components, and a strong mechanical aptitude.
Knowledge of Business Continuity Planning.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to extract useful information through the interview process.
Ability to develop and build relationships, and to delegate tasks effectively in a highly organized manner.
Knowledge of RFQs, RFPs, procurement and contract management.
At a minimum, a related college certification or equivalent.
