Senior Network Analyst

To support the strategic technology initiatives of the company by Designing, implementing and managing all network devices and technologies, and providing superior customer service.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Provides advanced technical support, technical direction and mentoring to appropriate technical staff in Technology

Act as a third level support for all network resources problems, escalate to the our business partners or vendors if necessary

Co-ordinate system changes with appropriate support staff to ensure uninterrupted network services

Responsible for quality reviews and standards

Participates in the development of RFIs, RFPs and criteria of evaluation of vendor proposals, products and services

Performs a thorough communication and networking systems analysis, design planning and quality analysis for integration of computer systems into the enterprise data network

Leads the Implementation of new networking initiatives and creates the appropriate technical documentation

Lead the development and implementation of security standardization and security controls for the networks

Continuous improvement on the overall operation to enhance RAS (reliability, availability and serviceability reduce overall TCO and better processes with other groups

Participate in the development and maintenance of the SLA

Ensure cost effective maintenance contracts with all suppliers

Acts as an expert resource for all network related problems

Thorough knowledge of advanced protocol/trace analysis, statistical analysis and performance analysis

Forecast capacity requirements based on technical reports generated

Extensive knowledge of data networking systems, protocols, operation, security, design and analysis

Extensive knowledge of network/server management, security, access, authentication, data integrity, operating environment, requirements and physical security

Considerable knowledge of common operating systems, hardware, peripheral and applications

Keeps professional skills updated and consistent with current information systems networking technology



Bachelor's degree or equivalence, in computer science/engineering, with concentration in management of information systems, or closely related field

Minimum of 10 years experience in information technology

At least 8 years experience in building and supporting a large complex networks of Cisco network equipment.

Excellent Analytical Skills

Self Starter; independent and displays high level of initiative

Understanding of the hotel business would be considered an asset

Must have project experience and managed medium to large scale projects in the past

Excellent communications and interpersonal skills is essential

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all level of the organization

Any equivalent combination of education and experience

Advance working experience with EIGRP a mustTechnical Requirements:

Advanced knowledge in the following areas:

Switching, including 802.1q, Vlans, VTP domains

Routing, including EIGRP, BGP, OSPF

Wireless, including 802.11B&G, all encryption methods

Addressing, including subnetting, classless and classfull

VPN, including IPSec tunnels, Lan-to-Lan tunnels, and remote VPN solutions

DHCP, DNS, WINs administrationAdvanced knowledge of the following network devices:

All Cisco routers, switches, firewalls/ASA, VPN concentrators, WAAS

Intrusion Protection Systems

Radius Servers

Nortel PBX, Nortel's OTM (Optivity Telecom Management)Knowledge of Windows 2000/2003, excel, word and Visio

Advance knowledge in Wireless implementation & security, WPA, WPA2, 802.1X

Working knowledge with Nortel PBX and OTM (Optivity Telecom Manager)

Product & working knowledge of F5 load balancers

Experience with Ruckus and Meru WIFI devices an asset

Working knowledge of VOIP Visa Requirements: Must already be legally permitted to work in Canada
