Qualifications

Applicable Post-Secondary education, e.g Purchasing/Supply Chain Management, B.Comm, Finance, Business Administration, etc.

Approximately 50% completion SCMP accreditation and/or sixor more years of related experience and associated course work.

Aptitude and communications skills related to developing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

Provides full qualified level supply chain management support to assigned project engineering and construction units by:

Independently conducting more complex analyses and transactions, e.gpurchasing materials, equipment and supplies in accordance with prescribed purchasing policy and procedures, reviewing and analyzing purchase requisitions, investigating and developing sources of suppliers/supplies, preparing bid specifications; issuing RFQ/RFP’s, reviewing quotations, etc.

Assisting with or initiating more complex investigations, documentation and analysis.

Interpreting purchasing procedures for departments and vendors and acting as a liaison between user departments and vendors.

Researching current and emerging market trends and conditions relating to supply and pricing.

Provides operational support and leadership by:

Maintaining and updating product catalogues, vendor files, and price lists for assigned commodity groups.

Supporting and assisting with statistical and historical data, e.g validating, reconciling, and processing receiving reports, vendor invoices and other payment documents, producing and distributing expedite reports, managing the Purchase Order acknowledge processes, etc.

Maintaining records in accordance with established policies and procedures and audit guidelines/SOX requirements.

Leading or assisting with studies of continuous improvement of the enterprise’s supply chain management systems and processes.
