Product Purchasing Manager



As Product Purchasing Manager, you will lead, develop and grow vendor and product opportunities.   You will leverage your extensive buying skills and experience as well as existing relationships in the Vendor channel.  You will report directly to the Director of Purchasing and be responsible for the continued development of multiple product categories.  You must have the ability to develop deep relationships with the vendors that you are servicing as well as be able to prospect and develop new relationships within those organizations as well as with new opportunities. Qualified candidates will have a proven track record of success in the purchasing field, specifically in the area of computer components for system builds and performance upgrades.     


Procure correct product and maintain proper inventory levels for assigned Vendors on a daily basis.

Work with Vendor on a regular basis to return or sell through slow moving inventory.

Develop and maintain Vendor relationships at all levels for assigned Vendors.

Interface with vendor to create and manage special vendor projects and programs to help drive product sell through.

Make sure price changes, cost rebates, etc. have been applied to the system.

Interface with D&H management to review Vendor successes and challenges.

Interface with D&H sales reps. to help close deals.

Interface with other groups within D&H (Accounting, Warehouse, etc




Experience and product knowledge with IT (Information Technology) and or CE (Consumer Electronics  

Experience in components is a requirement.   Include your components experience in your cover letter.

Extremely well organized with ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.

Excellent communication skills.

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word programs.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Ability to be a productive independent worker.

Must be a team player.

Some travel required.
