Food Service Director
This position will report to the District Manager and has 4 to 5 direct reports with 20+ Associates. This operation runs 7 days per week and you are required to work some evenings and weekends as per business needs.
Managing food and labour cost with approximately 20 direct reports
Accountable for all catering and conference functions
Involved in all phases of operational planning and expenditures, budgeting, costing and sales reporting.
Implement different retail and marketing programs in the operation which includes internal brand and branded concepts programs.
Accountable for menu planning, staffing, scheduling, client and customer relationship building.
Ensure strict compliance of Compass Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Programs.
Working closely with MarketingQualifications
Post secondary education plus minimum 5 years related management experience in food and beverage in a multi-unit, multi-faceted environment or equivalent experience, high volume of catering is an asset.
Proven financial management skills including ability to control product and labour costs.
A strong motivator, mentor and leader
A very detail oriented individual and a strong team player capable of thinking on your feet as well as multi-tasking
Superior interpersonal skills with an ability to work with high end clientele
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and decision making skills
Can accommodate flexible work schedule
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Lotus notes
